The property is well situated to enjoy all of the local attractions. There are local market days in every town, a list of which will be provided for our guests. The night markets are also well frequented by both English and French and are more of a social event than a shopping expedition!

Nearby is the well-known golf course at Chateau Vigiers and within a 15km radius you can find wonderful walking tracks as well as cycling, canoeing, horse riding, tennis, golf, fishing, castles, vineyards and much more. There are two vineyards a short walk away, including the renowned Clos Le Joncal. The area is famous for its chateaux and caves and for exploring the countryside, or you can simply curl up by the pool and relax!

Local restaurants are in abundance and a list of recommendations will be left for your consideration.


The City of Bordeaux, the Arcachon Basin and the Atlantic Coast can be found within 2hrs. and the beautiful and historic towns of Sarlat, St Emillion, Perigeux and Beynac are within 1hr.

Bergerac Airport is 20 minutes drive away and Bordeaux Airport is approximately 1hr 50 minutes.
